Doctor Knight began practicing orthopedic
surgery in 1983. Dr. Knight received his medical degree from
Creighton University School of Medicine, and then completed an
internship in general surgery at Mount Zion Hospital and Medical
Center in San Francisco before his orthopedic residency at the
University of California, San Francisco. With an extensive
background in trauma, sports medicine, joint replacement, and
general orthopedics, he moved to Danville to begin his practice
with the San Ramon Valley Orthopedic Group.
Dr. Knight’s commitment to continuing education and advancements in
orthopedic surgery expands his knowledge and skill in order to
deliver the finest orthopedic care. He evaluates each patient’s
case individually, and customizes treatment to best suit their
specific injuries.
Dr. Knight currently practices general orthopedic surgery with a
special interest in sports medicine, trauma, and total joint
reconstruction at Muir Orthopaedic Specialists. A local resident, he
supports the community by serving as a team physician for Foothill
High School in Pleasanton — a position he has held for 20 years. He
also spent 10 years as the team physician for Diablo Valley College
and consults on many local athletes and weekend warriors.
